Seeing the Paper Players #323 sketch made me think I could use the Holidays Catalogue hostess stamp set Holly Jolly Layers for the main image. I immediately pulled out the awesome Warmth & Cheers DSP stack and I was playing with the medallion, stamping it on Whisper White cardstock in various colours, trying to see how to overlay various parts of the image to make the medallion more interesting. Then, I got the idea to emboss the sentiment part in Gold on Garden Green cardstock and the second I did that, the image became so much more rich and interesting. I finally decided to emboss all three parts in gold on Delightful Dijon, Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler cardstock, and I'm really happy with the result. I don't have the Layering Oval Framelits that would have matched the image perfectly, so I fussy cut the outline of the image, and the inner parts as well. A bit of Delightful Dijon Mini Stripes Ribbon was added as well. I'm really digging this ribbon, because it looks more gold than yellow, so I'm managed to squeeze it into various projects since buying it.
