I bought two of the great Project Life kits from the annual catalogue and have not played with them a whole lot, so when I spotted the Project Life challenge from Just Add Ink #326, I was all over that one. I pulled out Hello Lovely kit and paired it with the Match the Sketch challenge #139, which was just perfect because the shapes on it looked just like PL cards.
I had to supersize my card to make the layout work for it with the cards. The card measures 4-1/4" x 6". I selected the card that says "C'est la vie" for my focal point. PL cards are not translated to French (only the stamp sets are) so it was a very nice surprise to find a French sentiment in the bunch. I thought it could make a great encouragement card. The card background is also made with a 4" x 6" PL card, on which I stamped little flowers using the matching stamp set included in the Accessory Pack.
I punched slits on each side of the sentiment and tied a piece of glitter ribbon (Holidays Catalogue, p. 37) in it. The cute wooden flower also comes from the kit's embellishment pack, and so do the sequins.
A matching envelope was made using the Envelope Punch Board.
