The Sewing challenge from Simon Says Stamp Monday caught my eye and I decided to pull out the cross stitch kit we had a few years ago. Since the kit include Melon Mambo cards, it was the perfect opportunity to play with ColourQ #357 as well. The kit included pink and green floss, but I pulled some orange floss out of my own supplies to match the colour scheme I wanted to use. When looking at possible sentiments, I spotted Birthday Banners, which includes a French sentiment that says "Happy birthday to the cream of the crop." I thought it would pair nicely with the cupcake. Speaking of which, I decided on the cupcake over the flower design so that I could take part in the Global Design Challenge #50 as well (food theme).
A piece of Pumpkin Pie washi tape was added to the left of the card and I tied a piece of Basic Black baker's twine. Finally, sequins in matching colours were added to the card.
