I had been wanting to do a file card for a while and decided it would work well with the beautiful Floral Boutique suite. I needed Congratulations cards for the office, and the Floral Phrases stamp set happens to have that sentiment in it. This set and matching Designer Series Paper (Floral Boutique) is elegant through and through. With its lovely script font, handpainted images and Night of Navy and white colour scheme, this suite will make creating quick and elegant projects a breeze. I like that the papers only have two colours on them - by pairing a third colour of my choice with them, I'm going to be able to achieve various looks. Here, I paired the papers with Daffodil Delight, but I also see pairing it with Real Red, Soft Sky, Old Olive or Flirty Flamingo for other vibrant looks.
The file card base was achieved with an old (and I mean old) Coluzzle template. (Remember those? Before we all had die-cutting machines at home.) The folded card size is 5" x 3-1/2", and I used the Envelope Punch Board to make a matching envelope. Since the paper used for the card base is two-sided and pretty busy, I glued pieces of cardstock inside for the person sending the card to have room to write a message.
