When I saw the CAS(E) This Sketch #179, it reminded me of the imagery in the Hello Lovely Project Life Card collection. I went looking through the pile for something I could use. I found a card with a scribbled in the center and tried using this first, but the floral background outside of the circle was distracting, so I used a circle die and cut it out, to layer over a second Project Life card instead.
The flower arrangement was created using the Jar of Love stamp set, and the sentiment came from the same set. The sentiment and bow were embossed with the new Copper Stampin' Emboss powder. I punched the sentiment out using the Duet Banner Punch. I punched the banner twice - once with the sentiment on it, one without. The bare banner was stamped with the Timeless Textures stamp set for added interest. Then, I handcut the center part on the second banner. If I'm being truthful, I wish the Duet Banner punch had been done this way instead of the second rounded banner, which I don't like as much. I would have preferred a dual punch with the second part being the center of the banner meant to be popped up. Oh, well. In the meantime, I guess I'll keep on freehanding it.
The thin strip of floral paper at the bottom is actually the backside of the Project Life card. I had to shorten the card for it to fit on the front of a regular-sized card, and one of the strips I was left with was perfect to add a little detail at the bottom. Recycling at its best! The second strip was added to the envelope.
