We sometimes focus so heavily on the seasonal catalogues that we forget the wonderful Holidays set available in the annual catalogue! This beautiful set is one of them. It's called Christmas Blessings and it looks wonderful whether it's been embossed or watercolored. In this case, I chose to go the watercoloring route, although I do like how the border looks simply stamped with a colored ink at the bottom, even if it has not been colored.
I pulled out the Adorning Accents Edgelits and embossing folders on this one again. The main image was stamped and embossed with Pewter powder on watercolor paper before being die-cut using the Window Frames Framelits. I added the sentiment in Always Artichoke and two vintage faceted buttons. A piece of matching seam binding was also tied around the card.
Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy and Certainly Celery is one of my favorite Christmas combos for cards with a vintage edge. It's a nice departure from the usual Old Olive-Real Red combo. Hope you like it, too!
