When I saw the Jumbo Sticky Rounds in the seasonal catalogue, I immediately got curious about what a flower would look like made out of tulle. It took me a while before I had time to commit that idea to paper, but this is how the rose turned out. Isn't it gorgeous? I made a Christmas card, but I think it could look equally fantastic on a wedding or anniversary card.
The sentiment comes from the More Merry Messages stamp set and was embossed with Early Espresso powder. The sentiment was then die-cut using a Window Frames Framelits die and framed with a row of piercing, using the piercing template as a guide. I then filled in the space at right using a cute stamp from the Make a Mitten stamp set.
The patterned papers are from the Candlelight Christmas Designer paper. The top paper was die-cut with the Scallop Edgelits from the Adorning Accents Edgelits and embossed with the matching folder. I then added a narrow strip of Champagne glimmer paper on top of the scallops for an elegant touch of shimmer.
A vintage brad and pearls were added to the tulle flower to finish it off.
