I bought the World Treasures set on my very first catalogue order. I just love that gorgeous peacock! I hadn't had time to play with him yet, though, and decided I would pull him out last weekend to make a birthday card, as I'm running low on those at the office.
The peacock was stamped and embossed a few times in various colours and paper pieced to create the final version that you see. I added Dazzling Details and some rhinestones to some of the details on the body and tail.
The Wisteria Wonder background was created by inking the Fancy Fan embossing folder and adding Iridescent Ice powder after embossing. It is the perfect complement to the peacock image. I also added two glimmer brads that I have leftover from last year's In Color pack.
The bottom border was created by stamping the border from the stamp set repeatedly on Lucky Limeade cardstock. I added a sentiment from the Wacky Wishes hostess set embossed in white, and tied two layered ribbons (polka dot grosgrain and narrow taffeta) on top. The Island Indigo layer was stamped with the flower from the same set.
I think it turned out better than what I had first envisioned in my head.
