What an exciting way to end the Inkspirations year: the Inkspirations blog hop is here!! Lots of great Christmas gifts ideas coming your way... The previous stop on the blog tour was the very talented Renee, and you can simply click on the link at the bottom of my post to go to the next stop on the tour and keep going until you have seen all 28 projects. Are you ready? Here's my Christmas gift idea to you.
I have used card envelopes to create an accordeon mini-album about my family's Christmas traditions. When my sister's boyfriend started coming over for Christmas, he pointed out that there are some "classics" with the Major family, namely playing board games, making a puzzle, eating chocolate, etc., things that we inevitable do over and over again each and every year. I looked through my Christmas picture stash and, sure enough, managed to find some pictures that illustrate those traditions and put them together in a mini-album that I am sure will bring a smile on my parents' face.
Tip: Use an embossing folder directly on your picture.
Tip: Create a border with the Scallop Chain punch and add cross stitches on it with embroidery floss. Add small pearls in between stitches.
So now, I invite you to make an album or scrapbook page about your own Christmas traditions so that you can remember about it for years to come and let other people know what makes the Holidays special in your home.
And now, on to the fabulous Kirsty!! Enjoy the tour and have a fabulous Holidays vacation, everyone!
xoxo

HI Cindy,
don't the envelopes make handy scrap page holders - very clever! Its a lovely idea to remember the family Christmas traditions - that is certainly something that was special about my childhood and still is!
Happy Christmas :)
