The soft pink shades in the inspiration picture really inspired me, so I pulled out some Cameo Coral, Blush Blossom, Apricoat Appeal and Close to Cocoa cardstock for a soft look. The colors reminded me of sherbet, so I decided to pair them with the Sweet Scoops set (that will be unveiled in the Summer mini launched on Saturday), my new favorite. I wanted to do something different, so instead of lining up three cones, I decided to have one disappear, leaving behind only crumbs!
The ice cream cone was inked with Barely Banane and rolled in Apricot ink using the Rock 'n Roll technique to create shading on the cone. Works really well! The "crumbs" were drawn with an Apricot Appeal marker. In the set, you'll find that there's a weird-looking lined stamp. This is actually meant to be used with the ice cream to "kiss" the stamps together and create texture on the ice cream. It looks really cool! I did that on my ice cream, before adding Crystal Effects for added shine. The sentiment was stamped on a scrap of cardstock to create a banner and also on the background cardstock. The corners were punched with the Scallop Edge punch, at an angle.
To create the "bite" in the ice cream cone, I used a punched Scallop Square as a mask. Worked out perfectly.
Aren't those colors yummy together? If you like them, make sure to stock up on them before they retire, as Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa and Cameo Coral will not be around anymore once the catalogue retires at the end of June.
Les douces couleurs de l'image m'ont inspiré la combinaoison de couleurs suivantes : Corail camée, Bouton de rose, Abricot attrayant et Presque cacao. Les couleurs me rappelaient celles d'un sorbet, alors j'ai sorti le jeu Petites douceurs, mon nouveau favori du minciatalogue qui sera lancé samedi. Plutôt que d'aligner trois cornets de crème glacée, j'ai plutôt choisi d'un faire disparaître un pour qu'il ne reste que des miettes à la fin!
Le cornet a été encré en Belle banane et avec la technique du Rock 'n Roll, j'ai ajouté de la dimension en roulant l'étampe dans de l'encre Abricot attrayant avant d'étamper. L'effet est très réussi! Les miettes ont été dessinées avec un marqueur Abricot. Dans le jeu d'étampes, vous retrouverez une étampe rayée qui ne semble pas avoir rapport avec le reste du jeu, mais elle sert en fin à créer de la texture sur votre crème glacée en utilisant la technique de l'accolade. On dirait vraiment de la crème glacée dure! J'ai aussi ajouté du Crystal Effects pour un peu de brillance. Le souhait a été étampé sur une retaille pour créer une banière et à répétition dans l'arrière-fond pour créer un motif. Les coins ont été créés en utilisant le poinçon Bordure festonnée en angle.
Pour créer la bouchée dans le cornet, j'ai créé un masque avec le poinçon Carré festonné, qui est juste de la bonne grosseur pour le cornet.
Ces couleurs ne sont-elles pas délicieuses ensemble? Si vous aimez cette combinaison de couleurs, je vous invite à faire le plein de cartons avant qu'ils ne prennent fin, puisque Bouton de rose, Presque cacao et Corail camée prendront leur retraite avec le catalogue à la fin du mois de juin.
