Okay, so here's the story: I've stumbled onto a fantastic blog that gives detailed information about how to organize your whole stamp room, one step at a time, a week at a time. I thought the tips were great and so relevant, so I took a lot of notes and it made me really pumped to try and get some organization going in my own room. (Here is a link to the blog in question: My Love Affair With the Label Maker.)
So... This weekend, I decided to get a jump-start on it. One of the suggested areas was organizing your paper, paper scraps and cardstock. Something I definitely need to get a handle on. My SU! supplies are organized just fine, it's all that stuff from my "previous life" (before I discovered SU!, that is) that is the problem. So I pulled everything out, laid it out on the floor and made piles.
Why am I telling you all of this? Well, because every time I organize some of my stuff, it gets my wheel spinning and I start to get inspired to use it again. And I also get the urge to put my stash to good use!! Remember that resolution I've been telling you about? So this is exactly what I did - I used my paper scraps to scrapbook and make cards this weekend and the one I am sharing today is one of them. And no, it is not entirely made with SU! supplies, but I think you'll like the ideas and you can easily adapt this card to make it SUO if you'd like!
I designed my card around Karen Giron's Sweetest Thing sketch and the idea for the main image came from thIs week's Moxie Fab World challenge to use floss. I have plenty of those around the house since I like to do a bit of stitching and as I was sorting my papers, I had this flash: Ooh, I know - let's make a cage with the floss and use that adorable lion stamp from the Fox & Friends set! The top and bottom of the cage was created with a journaling tag sticker I have cut in half with my paper cutter before adding on the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
So here it is in all of its glory:
Supplies
Stamps: Fox & Friends (Stampin' Up!), Loopy Letters (Image Tree), Hemlines (Paper Salon)

There are a few things I want to share with you!
First, I love how you write. I teach English as a second language in Québec and I enjoy reading your posts both in French and in English to discover how you bring your personal touch to translation! Thanks for that.
Second, I love how you use colours a lot, but I must add that you ROCK with the use of the Earth And Elements colour family.
Third, the attention you give to detail is fabulous. I remember the card with the cowboy standing in front of saloon doors. This lion den caught my eye right away too!
Finally, you are a brillant artist and I can't wait to see what you'll come up with next :-)
Thanks for everything Cindy! I am a loyal reader!
