À ma fenêtre d'automne / On a Crisp Fall Day

Je n'ai toujours pas touché à mon deuxième jeu d'hôtesse et je suis déjà revenue à celui-ci. Je crois que c'est parce qu'il y a tant de possibilités que l'inspiration travaille! C'est la ronde des saisons : l'autre jour, c'était l'hiver, nous voilà maintenant à l'automne...

Le défi de couleurs de Kristina Werner de la semaine dernière m'a inspiré, mais j'ai adapté sa combinaison de couleurs (Pépite de chocolat + Presque cacao + Réellement rouille + Certainement céleri), mais j'ai adapté les deux dernières couleurs à celles de la nouvelle famille En couleur en adoptant plutôt le Tangerine tango et le Bizou kiwi. Ces couleurs ne sont-elles pas magnifiques ensemble? Je m'amuse à découvrir les nouvelles possibilités créatives qu'offrent notre nouvelle gamme de couleurs!

 

La maison a été créée en étampant l'arrière-fond Sanded et en poinçonnant des « briques » avec le poinçon Étiquette en clef. Le « ciel » a été étampé avec l'arrière-fond Paisley et j'aime bien le look et la dimension que ça produit. La fenêtre et le chat ont été étampés sur du papier aquarelle avec de l'encre StazOn noire. Le souhait a été créé avec le poinçon Pétoncle et deux cercles superposés et décorés d'une attache parisienne au centre. J'ai ajouté un ruban de taffetas pour éviter que le souhait ne flotte dans le ciel et pour créer un lien visuel avec le reste des éléments sur la carte.

L'intérieur des fenêtres a été évidé à l'exacto et j'ai collé un transparent à l'intérieur pour donner une apparence de fenêtre.

Petit truc : Pour avoir les bonnes dimensions en découpant votre transparent, étampez d'abord l'image de la fenêtre en StazOn sur le transparent, puis découpez la fenêtre entière (pas seulement les fenêtres) afin de vous laisser du jeu pour le coller en place.

J'ai placé un papier à motifs derrière les fenêtres pour créer une effet de tapisserie au mur, et j'ai ajouté du Crystal Effects sur les fruits pour les rendre plus brillants. J'ai utilisé un stylet pour tracer deux traits sur les volets afin de faire un pli droit et de pouvoir les redresser légèrement afin de donner de la dimension à la carte.

Finalement, la clôture a été créée avec le poinçon Bordure festonnée et j'ai complété les planches avec un marqueur Pépite de chocolat.

My second Hostess set still sits untouched and uninked on my desk and yet, I've found myself reaching for this set again. I guess I'm just inspired by it and can see many different ways to use it. I'm switching seasons everytime: after winter, I now present to you fall...

Kristina Werner's colour challenge from last week inspired this combo, except that the Real Rust and Certainly Celery has been replaced with the new In Colors (Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss). Aren't the new colours beautiful? The more I use them, the more I like the many different looks we can achieve with them.

The house was created by stamping the Sanded background and by punching bricks out of cardstock with the key tag punch. The sky was stamped with Paisley and I like the dimension it creates (and how pretty Paisley is in orange). The window and the cat were both stamped on watercolor paper with Black StazOn ink. The sentiment was created with the Scalloped Punch and layered circles, along with a brad in the middle. I added a taffeta ribbon so that the sentiment wouldn't hang in midair and to connect it visually to the rest of the design.

I took out the paper inside of the window with a craft knife and replaced it with a transparency to give it a glossy look.

Tip: In order not to fiddle with the size of the transparency, simply stamp the image again with StazOn on the transparency and use the outside of the shape as a guide to cut the transparency. This will leave you with a border to glue it on the back of your main image.

I added patterened paper underneath the window to make it look like wallpaper, and Crystal Effects on the grapes to give them a shiny look. I used a stylus to make some lines to fold the shutters and prop them up a little.

Finally, a fence was created with patterned paper and the Scalloped border punch, and a Chocolate Chip marker to add detailing.
